Sometimes after a shut down it doesn't like to restart right, it starts blowing micro bubbles, I fixed it by making a 1 inch tall platform that I can place under it when needed.

Hope mine dont have that problem as I don't plan on running mine all the time. I wanna put it on a controller to only run about 8 -10 hours a day.
 
I might have had mine too deep, it's in about 8-9 inches of water, the platform brings it closer to 7.
