Looking to bond acrylic with glass, would silicon work or is there better way

silicon works but it's not ever going to hold or be sturdy like glass on glass is.
For putting a partition in a sump, it's fine, for what you're doing, no way. The glass would bow and boom. I wouldn't trust it unless you build a frame around the bottom edge with L bar like old timey tanks I have seen in antique stores.
Still sketchy.
