Custom caddy

Just got a jbj 45 and was wondering if a custom caddy is a good choice for filtration or does anyone have any other suggestions. If a custom caddy is on order what do you suggest filling it up with?

Yes, I have used the same set up. I tend to use a good quality charcoal and some phosban, and a sponge in mine.

How often do I need to change out pr clean the materials?

The purigen will turn a dark brown that's when you change it. I always changed my chemi-pure elite every 3 mths. Carbon 1-2 weeks.

Yes at the same time. Reactor are so much more efficient than a bag.
