Adding Anthias soon so time for a tank cover 48” x 22”.
Home Depot had a 48” black aluminum screen kit (same thing as reef stores online) and Hobby Lobby had black open mesh.
Ten minutes to cut the four sides to length, assemble and welt in the mesh.
Fits perfect, no glare and I can see thru the black mesh (clear is tough to see thru) and no change in my light intensity par or colors. Mesh is light gauge and open but no fish could get through it, or anything drop in the tank bigger than a pea.
Trick. Also let me place a sunscreen mesh or screen swatch over a sensitive coral i wanted higher in tank but protect it from high par without affecting the SPS next to it.
Total cost less than $20 for my Red Sea Max S 500 tank.
