Custom IM20Black Build

Well a long time ago i had a Innovative Marine 20Fusion. I always have had tanks with a sump except for this one as i move around. So right when they announced the EXT is the same time i decided to build a IM20 Black Series set up. though i have many many photos of me DIY things im going to post up the finished product photos.

Equipment is as follows:
Custom Stand
Custom Canopy
Custom Sump(Built by salty fish aquariums in San Antonio,TX)
Modular Marine 800GPH Overflow
Let lighting T5 Retrofit Kit(2 ATI Blue+ Bulbs)
AI Hydra26 HD

Future Equipment:
Ecotech Vectra S1
2x IceCap 1k Gyre
Cobolt Neotherm 100w heater
APEX
Doser(Undecided on brand)

Wow, I'm super jealous of this setup. I'm super interested in the new lines of aquarium from IM and I may very well be getting one sometime this summer as an upgrade in space and capability from my current IM Nuvo Fusion 20.

yeah i like the new tanks, but my stand was already made for my IM20Fusion. sadly the smallest the EXT tanks go is 25. so i just got a 20Black and went to work

In this photo^^^ my lights were closer to each other for my 20Fusion AIO.

now that i have more space in my tank i took the time today to spread out my lights.

So I ordered a black AI Prime HD and they sent me a white one instead

So next thing on the list was to figure out how to do this with the tank running. i didn't want to have to pull out my bubblers as those are for emergencies only. so i just put eggcrate over the frag section and the only running was my return, lights, and heater.

When i went to lowes to pick up the screws and nuts i need to use for the back of the light i didn't purchase a bracket. Im a Aviation Mechanic so i figured i'll get creative when i get home. so sure enough i found a spare curtain hanger mount we arnt using and used that

My original labels said HYDRA and SKIMMER. so i changed them to HYDRA HD PRIME HD

This is me just making sure everything is lining up just the way i wanted.

Boom everything working again 100%!!!! I think the whole process took me 2 hours to make everything organized and do the installation from start to finish.

So to help with PH swing, not that i really care about it, i figured ill run the Prime HD at the exact opposite schedule as my Hydra 26.
