Hi everyone,
I’m getting back into the reefing game again after a year with no tank.
My new build will be a 24x15x12 tank built by me.
I’m a big DIY person, so I decided I’m going to diy my light too.
The fixture will be 24x15 as well and will include t5 and LED.
No controllers. Just timers, on/off switches and dimmers.
It will have 3 or 4 t5s so that part is figured out, but I need your help on led choice.

I want to have two strips going down the fixture between the t5s for maximum coverage. My question to you all is what led colors I should get. Either color names or nM works. I just need to know what would be the perfect array of colors to go with. I’m thinking a total of like 40 leds total Unless you think it’s overkill and probably on 4 individual channels for blending. I know how to wire it up. I just need help picking leds.

Any help is appreciated
Thanks all

The LED colors will likely depend upon the color you want to have. Most of your PAR/PUR in the setup described will come from the 4x T5's, I'd think. So the LEDs will really just offer you options like moonlight or color fill.

In terms of colors for LEDs, here are the colors that the Radion lights use, at least (with Deep Blue, Blue, and UV being the most common channels to have high):
