I am in the planning stages of a peninsula styled tank upgrade. I have a Bio Cube that was my starter tank and have enjoyed it. I got a quote for a tank from a somewhat local custom manufacturer. The price was good- tank only.
I like the Red Sea package, but I was not going to use their stand anyway. My LFS is a dealer and I think that may be a benefit for any issues I may have.
It is hard not to like the bare tank price though.
The quote was for a peninsula styled tank with a corner over flow. The tank will be in the middle of the room, so not against the wall. I think the corner overflow would give me more viewing from that end wall.
Looking for some input on going with a custom build vs a package.
I don't mind doing the plumbing, but I do like the plug and play options with the Red Sea..
