Custom stands

I'm looking to get ideas for my stand on my new tank. If you don't mind sharing pictures or a link on custome built stand it would be greatly appreciated.

What size tank are you going with? Are you looking for ideas to finish the stand or from ground up?

It's going to be ground up. It's a custom tank. Here are the dims on the tank.

I looked for a while before I found a design that I really liked. This is what I ended up with. It has a 1 foot shelf on both sides and the front of the tank. It stands 40" tall.

What is the step in the stand for?

Well my phone died before I could post the next picture. I have two 40g breeders for my sump and fuge. I have one on the step and one next to it. The one on the step feeds the lower one via two 2" bulkheads and gravity.

Here is mine, 36x24 footprint.

It all fits together with no screws holding it:

Close up of the corner joints.

Using this method the weight is all transferred into the wood, and to the floor without using the screws as a load bearing fastener.
