I would like to hear any/all critique per a custom sump build for a 450 gallon DT. A 2" water drop in DT (power, pump offf etc.), would yield 30 gallons in sump plus overflow and plumbing, maybe another 10 Gallons?
the illustrated sump below at 9" water mark will hold approximately 70 gallons, 110 gallons at 14" mark.

please let me know what you think.

I would not keep an urchin with the macro algae as it might eat it. I also wouldn't keep the shrimp there. I find a clean refugium easier to keep. I also prefer a refugium after the skimmer to avoid macroalgae clogging the skimmer.

You shouldn't need an algae scrubber, skimmer, and refugium all at once unless you are feeding like 20x a day lol

I am attempting to "cover all the bases". I don't know the entire future of the DT, but I want to have any/all equipment on hand and plumbed the first go round and not say "I wish I had incorporated that into the sump" after the fact.

of the 3, could you lend a prioritized list? thanks
