Custom tank size

im looking to get a custom tank built and wanted to get some input from people with lower tanks. The size I’m thinking about is 72 x 20 x 22. My existing tank and stand can only hold a 20” deep tank so I’m stuck with that, but will the tank look weird being 72” long and only 22” tall? Or should I go 24” tall? The tank will be rimless.

Personally I like the look of a long slender tank. The 8ft by 2ft by 2ft tanks have similar proportions to the tank your proposing and look wonderful.

Build a new stand. You're going to spend a grand on a custom tank, buy some 2x4s and build a stand. The money you'll save buying a stock 220 will offset the cost.
