I cut two 36” x 12” sheets of black textured abs plastic for bottom of tank. I’m doing bare bottom so yeah. I’m really happy with it.

Looks nice. I used pvc sheet from homedepot in white for my bottom. Will be covered in coralline soon enough

I'm seriously considering going BB in a 54-corner tank. Where did you source the ABS? How do you plan to keep it down/on the bottom?

Silicone and Amazon. But BRS sells it

What thickness did you use? I have a fluval evo 13.5 and was thinking about using 1/16. Do you think that would be thick enough? Ive only seen people use 1/8.

I used 1/8 and cut with a jig saw

Do you think 1/16 is too thin after using 1/8?

I would use 1/8. You can get it from BRS or Amazon. It’s sold in 12 X 12 or 36 x 12. I like it from those vendors because it is textured. And when you line up the seams if using multiple pieces it blends really well and looks like one piece

Just for the record that tank is gone. I drilled the hole on the left too low. I’m having a custom tank made for me (rimless 40g breeder).

Sorry to hear that, cant wait to see the 40g breeder.
