Hey all, So ive ran into a snag while upgrading my drains on my 180. Im moving so I decided I wanted to go with 1.5" drains instead of 1". its an acrylic tank so drilling is simple. but the issue Ive ran into is I wanted to cut off the original overflow box(since its low profile and I cant install another bulkhead in it) and install two 1.5" bulkheads. well its aclylic cemented onto the back so its a box with a hole in the back that matches up with the hole in the tank for the bulkhead. Well ive already cut away the old bulkhead and the only way to install a new on is to cut about 3/4" off of the total length of a 1" bulkhead and run it that way or drimmel off the old box and sand down the remaining acrylic thats welded onto the back of the tank. Let me know what yall think.

Try it with an old bulkhead you have lying around. It will likely make threading the nut difficult or impossible since you will lose the taper.
