Cutting a cross brace on deep blue frag?

do you guys think i would be ok cutting the cross brace on a 60g Deep Blue RR frag tank?

i want to use xr30 for light but i dont want that brace throwing any shade. other option is xr15 but they are back ordered and i already have xr30

I don't recommend removing a center brace, unless you plan on adding a euro-brace to replace it. It would not be there if the supplier did not believe it was needed. You would certainly get a bow in the glass, and at worst a leak or a complete failure of the panel
 
Yeah, there for a reason. You need it or you will compromise the structural integrity.
 
I agree do not remove it without adding additional support... If its a frag tank You could put a glass baffle in that spot maybe 3 to 6 inches high top down, bottom up. full baffle just below water level.. For a frag tank it would not hurt anything...
