I am needing to cut some smaller pieces of acrylic. But i need straight lines the pieces will be getting glues together. What is the best way to do this?

Normally for larger pieces i would just use a table saw and call it a day. Seems like maybe a band saw? I need ideas.

Check out the YouTube videos by the King of DIY. He’s built several freshwater tanks from acrylic & goes into depth about how to do it.

How long a piece? how thick is acrylic?

Using a straight edge and acrylic cutter blade, I’ve cut and glued (welded) many acrylic pieces over the past 30+ yrs

So what i ended up doing was using double sided tape and sticking a steel straight edge along the cut line. Did great. I had to modify my ecplise overflow because of a bad drill on my part. Here it is all assembled at this point.
