I know for a fact that sea stars will regenerate when cut in half. How can i pull this off? where to cut/and can i cut red seastars and tile sea stars?

If you're talking about Fromia spp. starfish I would advise against it. They have a very poor long term survival rate to start with and slicing and dicing them is unlikely to be successful. Figure out how to keep them alive for 1-2 years first.

what the heck go buy more!!!!

which one is fromia? the red or tile?

Fromia is a genus of starfish that has a fair number of species. Both starfish you mentioned in your first post are Fromia species.
