cuttlefish and octopus?

i have an octopus in a 29gal biocube. when he is fully spread out hes only about 4-5 inches. He really wont get much bigger than that.

I have a biocube 29 as well, and plan on getting an octopus once I transfer what I currently have to a bigger tank. How do you keep him from escaping???

I was wondering whats the smallest octopus you can get and what size tank should you put it in and also what size tank for a cuttlefish?

Bimacs are usually sold when try are super small like a inch or less. They grow fast and don't have a very long life span

check out intank. i got their fish saver that blocks off the filtration chambers from the front. i also keep some toys in there for him to play with. This is my second octopus i have had. If you keep them busy with things to do they wont want to escape.

I haven't found anything on cuttlefish, and won't even explore the idea until I've got my 125+gal set up. But I understand the average lifespan of octopi (?) is about 1-2yrs. I'd be very curious to hear what kind of toys you have for yours.

correct, their lifespan is about a year or two. my last one lived 11 months. The one i have now, i have had about 3 months. i have a set of baby rings in his tank, also some ping pong balls that have holes in them so they sink.

I would like to pics of your set-up and octopus.
