So been kicking around ideas for a species tank but couldn't find any information on if any species are safe around soft or leather corals?

We're fortunate enough to have easy access to live foods, but given where I would be setting this one up I would prefer some softies. And yes we have filtration, skimmers, etc. The tank itself is a 125 display (300lbs of LR) with a 30 gallon sump, 60 gallon refugium, and over rated skimmer (200+). Planned on only them as it would be a species tank, but again wondering on if they are coral safe.

Thanks.

They are coral-safe, however, relatively short-lived creatures!
Thanks! Yeah that's really my only big reservation as we have kids so I worry about them getting attached to something so short lived on average.

Cuttlefish are reef safe....they don't eat corals. You don't want any stinging corals and definitely no anemones. And as @P-Dub stated, you'll be lucky to get 1-2 years out of them before they die. Also was fascinated by cuttlefish but couldn't stand the fact that they have a very short life.

Yeah the short life part is what I am debating, although I have also read some people have success getting them to breed? As for coral I figured I would go with the golden rule for my other species tanks...cheap softies and leathers I wont be upset if they get a wild hair and try out lol.

You are welcome! There is a like button, btw... ;)
