Cuttlefish hatching

I am so jealous! I wish the stork would bring me baby cuttlefish:) one of my favorite creatures ever, they are so adorable!
Lol!
That's exactly how I feel.
Saw this earlier clip on YouTube of a cuttlefish hand feeding and recognising its owner and totally interacting.

I WILL have one of these adorable little guys one day! It breaks my heart that they have such a short lifespan though:(

Doing great thanks, growing fast almost double the size now, hunting skills improved and camouflage is perfect! Can you spot him hiding in plain site!?

Wow!!!!
That camouflage is great!!!! It took me way to long to find that cuttlefish :p
I am glad that the cuttlefish eggs found their way to a food home :)

Are there small ones that only get big enough to eat amphipods? Or do most species get big enough to prey on fish and hermits?

I am pretty sure that the smallest species is dwarf cuttlefish and they get big enough to eat fish and crabs. They will usually now eat hermits because of their shells but they will eat crabs like emerald and Sally light foot etc. I think that a fully grown dwarf cuttlefish might prey on amphiopods if it sees out but I don't know of they will actually hunt them down because they are so small. It would also require a large amount of amphiopods to keep on sustained.
Hope this helps :D

I want a flambouyant cuttlefish egg. Anyone know where to get one?
I have only see a flamboyant cuttlefish for sale once and it wasn't in egg. I can't remember exactly but it sold for $350 to $400. They are not cheap.

Thanks, they were very active this morning when I put the mysis in, six immediately caught every mysis they aimed for no missing at all. Think they are almost 2cm in size they appear to have grown over night.

One took a dead mysis so hopefully I can get them on frozen food as it's costing me a fortune in live.

They are ignoring pods and newly hatched brine I think it's too small for them to bother.

Noticed today they are changing colours more, all of a sudden they are not just blending into background. When hunting and I assume they are excited they been changing to rusty red colours, also been sitting on white sand and showing contrasting colours.

Getting BIG FAST

Eating me out of house and home too! Will take three or four mysis every few hours now.
