Hi everyone I have a cyano Algae problem that seems to be getting worse my system is about 500 litres and I have been doing 15 to 30% water changes each week. I believe one thing that may have caused the problem is for a few months I was using water from my lfs due to not having a big enough mixing station at the time. There water was almost always above 10 tds but generally under 50 or so. I have now setup my mixing station with an rodi filter. I have so far replaced about 75 to 80% of the tank with rodi saltwater. However the cyano is still getting progressively worse. I will try and get some better pics 2 night.
Another cause could have been a dead chromis that was getting bullied and is now missing. However he was only the size of a Australian 50 cent coin.
