Not sure if this is the right forum to post this thread but I wanted to share an experience that changed the way I look at cyano and wanted to know if I was the only one who feels this way.

I am Jewish and sabbath observant, meaning I can't mess around with the tank on Saturday, so here's the story. One Saturday I came home from the temple to find that my younger brother dumped a whole bag of hikari marine s in the tank as well as unplugged the skimmer, anyway so coming home and seeing this, immediately I realized I was in for a whole tank crash.....buuuuut.....I had been fighting cyano for a bit and hadn't gotten rid of it completely. Within hours, the cyano and completely taken over from the amount of nutrients released in the water. Obviously seeing that I thought my tank was a goner, being that the skimmer was off as well. After the sabbath I went to see the tank, expecting the worst, I went in feeling down[emoji30][emoji30] low and behold, the tank was fine, I mean other then being completely covered in cyano, everything was alive and ok. I'm pretty sure that it was only do to the cyano that my tank survived!! Your thoughts on this?
