I've tried a few things to get rid of this. My tank is less then two months old, so I know it's normal, however, it's unslightly. I sort of panicked and bought some red slime stain remover. I dosed last night and haven't seen any results yet. I know it's early, but after reading online, people swear it removes it within 24 hours. The recommended dose is one spoonful (comes with little spoon) per 15 gallons. I did one spoonful for each 30 gallons. My tank is a 200. Should I supplement the dosing I missed?

I tried using that suff and it never worked. Are you using RODI water? Have a sufficient skimmer? Feed less and try less lighting.

I hate to add chemicals to get rid of cyano.

Is it on your sandbed? If it is get a tiger conch snail. They do a wonderful job. Well you'll need more for a 200 gallon, but I added 5 in my 100 and they control everything on the sand.

Its primarily on the sand,it's starting on the back wall and rocks too. Im using a 1200 GPH return pump and two MP40's cranked all the way up.

Use the correct dose.
