Cyano chemiclean PODS

Hi going to start chemiclean soon
I’ve got the plan... carbon off, airstone on, 48 hr water change etc. I’ve got good PODS ... any chance this treatment affects my pods ? Thank you in advance

I’ve used it recently. I didn’t notice any difference in the pod population that I can see.
