So had cyano .. ran chemiclean for the correct amount of time. Did a 20% water change. Turned the skimmer back on it it was still going crazy. So gave it a 3 day break wondering if that would help .. just turned it back on and its going nuts. Can't even keep the cap on no matter how much I adjust the skimmer.

So what do I do here .. do another water change as there is still clearly some chemiclean in the water? Or just turn the skimmer on and let it work itself out and go all over the place and out of the cap?

If it's an in sump skimmer just leave the collection cup off it for 24 hours and let it overflow into the sump. It'll settle down.
