Hi all. I was battling a horrible cyano outbreak in my tank. It had been going on for about four months. I reduced feeding right away and I was just siphoning it out every other day, but it would always come back as heavy as before.
I haven't changed anything except that I started dosing Seachem Fusion 1&2 to help maintain parameters. I was not dosing before, just doing regular 20% water changes to maintain alk and calcium (tank is 30 gallons). After a week of dosing and siphoning, the cyano is gone!
The cyano started to look pale and then stopped returning after removal! What do you think? Coincidence? Increased stability of parameters? Something in the product?
