Cyano in Frag Tank

I installed a Frag tank a few months back and I keep getting cyano on the egg crate. I have three power heads in the Frag tank, which is only a 20 long. I have one under the egg crate, one high and one low on the opposite side.

Any ideas?

By the way the Frag tank is plumbed into my display tank...I know it’s not ideal but it’s the best method for my setup to maintain temp and water quality with doser and chiller.

Chemiclean! It's always a bit scary, but I've used it twice now and had no negative effects.
