Good morning,

I have been getting some buildup of Cyano on my glass and a bit on the sand in my tank. After I did my tank move I noticed I got a small bloom. Never had this happen before, what would be my best course of action? I plan on cutting back on lighting hours, already have snails and Hermits to combat it on the live rock. But when I get home every day from work I use my "Flipper" and scrape a good amount off the glass. I heard Chemi-clean is pretty effective?

Appreciate any insight!

Chemi clean is a proven option. It doesn't sound like its bad. If you correct the issues that brought it on it will often correct itself through an increase in maintenance. Chemi clean is usually my last resort. I typically increase maintenance and will go to H202 first. I just got through a minor cyno battle took 3 weeks.
