There's a corner in my 300 gallon with good flow. Pink blotches always grow right there. Bright pink, not purpl or red. And its not slimy. When i siphon it or move it with my scraper, it just clumps up. The same color is on the rocks and i put a baster to it and nothing blows off. I even scrub the pink spots on the rock and it doesn't come off. Any chance coralline is growing on the sand?
Just making sure :)

It's possible that coraline is growing on the sand. What type of sand are you using?
