I've started seeing these bubble-like algae in my reef. The tank's been running for approximately 10 months; 20 Gallon w/ mixed corals and a clownfish. I've had bubble algae in the past, and this doesn't seem to be the same - it more seems like the algae are growing over air bubbles. I've tried to brush them off, but they just keep coming back. It also doesn't appear to be hurting anything around it, corals and fish are doing well. I feed 5 ml daily of phytoplankton, and amino acids and feed reef roids once every 2-3 weeks. Clownfish eat regular pellet food.

Pics distorted and fuzzy. Please repost under white lighting but could be cyano. Those are gas bubbles trying to escape

Need to get nitrates up to at least 5ppm, 10ppm preferred. Phos up to at least .1-.5. Lower photo period down to 4 hours at most. UV will be helpful. Dose 1ml peroxide per 10 gal of water volumn daily and dose microbacter7 daily.

These are generic treatments that will help with most dinos.

Dosing silicates to 2ppm every day will also help induce diatom bloom to out compete dinos. This works for almost any species of dinos.

Also, stop the aminos and coral food ASAP. This is making it worse.
