Cyano or coralline?

So I have deep red patches Ive read if it doesnt come off easy its coralline and if it comes off easy its most likely cyano just wanna confirm thanks guys! I know been posting a lot haha

I have lots of stuff like that on my rock. I was never able to say if it was coralline or not. For me, those same type of red splotches don’t come off when scraped. I’d say probably coralline but they’re part of live rock. Don’t be worried. If it starts spreading like wildfire - say quadruples in a week - then it’s not coralline.

This is some really old live rock. I recently redid my rock and this was on the bottom, out of light. I unearthed some sponges (above the red dots). There is some purple coralline on the corners. And then these red dots made me investigate a little. They’re really solid and don’t scrape off. I’m assuming coralline as there are countless types and colors. So yours reminds me of this.

And to add to this, there is also some white coralline on there as well... many different shades than just purple.

Agreed. Looks like coralline. Same kind i have in my 20 gal

nice, next is a bigger tank haha, i have 20 gallon right now im thinking of a reefer 250 or waterbox 60 gallon or 70gal thanks again!

Hard to tell but they look like small feather duster worms. Harmless and good filter feeders.

Lots of colors of coralline.
I have purple, pink, red, and green so far. All of it came from my live rock.
