Hey everyone new to the hobby here, the tank was set up on 5/25/2020, diatoms showed up on 6/17/2020, on 7/1/2020 I started seeing these dots all over the rocks. The dots started growing in size and also extending out as well. Eventually, it started covering the sand as well. I thought it was harmless however, I lost a clownfish today, while I don't know if it's related or not, I don't want it to happen again, especially if I can help it. Please help me identify what this is.

Dry rock? If so totally normal, diatoms that will cover the rocks, they'll then turn green before getting darker.

Yes, just dry rock. I honestly thought it was something else, as I had already seemed diatoms bloom, it had grown evenly through the tank. Seeing the dots show up everywhere I thought it was something different.

Also, I see air bubbles coming out of the small follicles, which I thought it would be an indication of dino ?

I see white sand and rock. relax and let stuff grow, still very early in the maturation process.

I guess the ugly phase is still ongoing. I'll treat it as diatoms. Thank you, everyone.
