Cyano or dinos

I really think this is cyano and from adding my large frag tank into my system but what do you guys think?

My phosphate was over 0.3 and nitrate is around 2. I lowered phosphates over a week using phosphate RX and have gotten it down to 0.06 now and hope to keep it around there.

Kind of and goes away really easily if I blow it with a turkey baster and is on the tips of some of my newer SPS.

Evening, forgot to say that.

I’m leaning to Dino, but now a days every answer is Dino.

Without a microscope hard to say for sure. If you can blow it off easily I would keep up blowing it off the coral. Keep it from harming anyone. If it’s coming off easily in mats hopefully just cyano.

There’s another way to test Dino or cyano but can’t remember it. Maybe someone else knows.

Looks like dinos to me but they can look very similar in our tanks. Get a sample under a microscope and post the picture and we will know for sure.

starting to really think its dinos, which would make sense from me lowering my phosphates, nitrates already being low and adding a ton of new water for my new frag tank (500 gallons)

I hate to say it, I’m pretty sure it is. Don’t let it stress you out, too much.

I had it for years, stay on top of it before it gets to invasive. UV run on the system
