Cyano patches, what to do?

I've been getting a few red ish patches in lower flow areas, it blows off easily with a coral feeder but is this going to be sufficient to wish it away or is this just going to get worse.

If so what's the usual successful treatment

Well, it doesn't sound like it's a HUGE issue and that's good. First, increase flow and manage your nutrients to above zero value by increasing feeding a bit, reducing the fuge light or dialing back the skimmer. There is anecdotyl evidence that heterotrophic bacteria may out compete Cyano for nutrients. The belief here (where corals are not in distress), that careful management of your parameters and general good husbandy will see the Cyano problem gone at about the rate the problem surfaced. If corals are in distress, I would dose Microbacter7 to add another level of competition for space. If corals are dying, then you could use Chemiclean or Red Slime Remover as a very quick solution. Only problem is that the underlying cause will still be there.

Phosphate dropped to zero recently, not at the same time nitrates were 60ppm, recently for the last 6 weeks or so nitrates are around 8-10, Phosphate 0.06, tank is nearly 18 months old and we only have a few zoas and a hammer frag plus a bubble coral frag
