There are some spots on sand and spots all over glass. They're a little more reddish in real life.

there was nothing there yesterday but i did add Purple Helix Coralline Algae in a Bottle last night, so idk if that threw something off.

i don’t believe cyano grows in small dots.

do these “dots” move? are they soft? can you scrape/blow them off? do they resemble a “U” shape at all? if so, those are flat worms

if it is hard, could likely be encrusting algae( coralline algae)

+1 can you get a close up of one of those specs?

They do not appear to be moving. I can not blow them off with a pipette, but they will scrape off with my scrubber. They do not look u shaped.

Thats as close as i can get with them in focus.

Still can't tell. Wrasse are an easy fix for flatworms. Flatworm exit but they have to be siphoned out.

can you tell at all if they’re fuzzy? weirdly could be a sponge or just detritus getting stuck on the micro tears of the glass? i know unsure this is just speculation. especially since you say they don’t blow off

If you carefully scrape some off into a small container with just enough saltwater to keep them submerged, you should be able to get a better focused picture from above.

Will try that in the morning when hopefully the spots are a little bigger. I did scrape one off on to my finger earlier but it was just too thin to see.
Ps: is that a Peppermint shrimp ? (With your anemone)
Yes. I have two peppermint shrimp. They leave the nems alone.

If i scrape them they disinigrate before i can do anything with them.
