Hello fellow reefers!
I work for a shop on Vancouver isle. We have a customers tank we have been throwing everything at trying to get his cyano to reduce/disappear.
I will give you a list of what we have done, And water parameters.
All of these have been spaced out between 4-6 months. It’s a problem that won’t go!
products methods we have tried.
20% water change
Chemi clean
Hydrogen peroxide
Polyfilter
Uv sterilizer
Microbactor7
A full 3 day black out.
Cleaning sand
Reduced feedings
Nopox
not in that order. I can't think of anything else to try with out tanking down and starting again.
Water parameters are
Phosphate 0.1
Magnesium 1350
Alkalinity 7.7
Calcium 440
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10
Ammonia .15
