I am thinking this is Cyano. it is stringyer than other Cyano I have had. this is in my 5 gallon pico tank at the office. last test was the nitrates were 20 and phosphate was .05 on my hanna checker. LIghting is 18 3 watt LED. the tank is just over a month in setup but the rock was in my 180. it is just plain old NASTY.

That looks like Dino to me, stringy with bubbles.

Tahoe61, I am thinking you are correct in that assessment. I treated with Chemiclean and while the diminished, they didnt go away. did a 48 hour Chemiclean treatment. then a 50% water change. today I am starting a 2x daily dosage of H2O2 3%. if I dont see results from that in a few days, Ill have to go lights out and cover my tank with a box.

+1

I think killing the lights and suspending feeding will clear this up in less than a week.

Then resume with less lighting and feeding and adjust so it stays away.

Bob, 1 fish. gets 3 pellets a day. If I dont see results by Friday, it will be getting a box and no light till tuesday or wednesday.
