Alrite so ive been battling cyano for about a couple weeks now and i cant seem to find the source of the problem i dont believe its over feeding i feed pellets in the morning and mysis or brine at night and Monday Wednesday and Friday i do reef energy a and b and phtyo and oysterfeast for the corals i do my weekly water changes 10% i dont believe its water flow but i may be wrong. Are there any way i can do test for cyano to see like if a certain parameter could be out of wack thats making this outbreak?

IMO it doesn't look like cyano but just some diatoms.

Can you rid your tank of these? Yes
Here is a test to know what you have
Take a small section of the problem area
Put that in 2 cups of tank water
Add 1ml of h2o2 to that container
Wait 24 hours
If the water turns a pink color and the tested section green it's cyanobacteria
If it doesn't do any change its spirulina"

alrite i was able to get some off a rock put it in a container added some h202 waiting game now my question is im bout to do a water change should i or should i wait its been about a week since i last did one

OOOH that's a killer I hated the stuff. I used a product on it and it pretty much eradicated all of the stuff. I forgot what it is called but I will tell you when I get home. I would look at @twilliard 's thread first though since he is pretty much a god at this part of reefing and will know best!

your in good hands here. the only thing i can add is when i was using reef energy a and b i had a huge cyano prob. after i stopped using it cyano was gone after about 3 weeks of regular water changes.

I would bet it was spirulina
Cyanobacteria once established doesn't care about its surroundings. It is highly adaptable to most any condition.
