You can up your magnesium for a while. Have you tested for phosphates? Nutrients?

Good old fashioned elbow grease! I have always had luck with manual removal (as much as possible), increased water changes, cut back on feedings a little, and find the source for the nutrients that are causing it to grow.

I just got some Vibrant aquarium cleaner and it cleared my hair algae in days. I was shocked at how quick it worked. It's not a cure all but OMG it works!!!! Check it out ;)

When I started in this hobby I had exact same issue. What I've noticed make difference is 10-15% weekly water changes and increased water flow.

+1 on manual removal. Increase your nutrient export (Macro algae, GFO, Carbon dosing, mechanical), and decrease the import (cut back on feeding). Check your flow as mentioned. You can use chemicals to treat it, but also as mentioned, this is just a bandaid, not a solution. You must tackle the root of the problem or it will rear its ugly head time and time again. :)

Don't stress over it. It comes and goes. Clean as much as you can and do water changes. It will eventually go away.
