Here are some pics I’ve used a toothbrush to brush some off the rocks but still have some I also siphoned some of the sand as I intend to go bare bottom in the near future

ill vote rip clean the tank, so your results look like these:

chemi clean doesnt fix the issue that causes cyano, your tank needs unplugging per pics (rocks and sand)

chemi clean would add to the plugging, not undo it.

hard work time is due.

Chemi-clean works great, BUT its a bandaid. You have to fix your nutrient problem. Make sure you put an air stone or something in there, remove your carbon and take the collection cup off your skimmer.

U mentioned nutrient problem what do you mean here’s are my parameters
Salinity 1.025
Alk 8.1
Cal 480
Mag 1400
Phosphates are 0
Nitrates are between 2 n 5
Not sure what to do

Cyano is ALWAYS caused by Nutrient problems. Whether it's too much feeding, too much supplements (like Reef roids, etc), and bad flow as well. If you don't fix the cause it will just keep coming back. You may be a heavy feeder like I am, which could cause it.

i started to do weekly water changes cut down feeding by 80% only feed 3 times a week I recently programmed my skimmer to come on when the lights go off due to low ph and it was stripping everything out I was adding neophos and neonitiro and Reef roids but stopped all of that so what would you recommend

just some thoughts. Randy has an article that concludes that no one really knows for sure what causes cyano to come out of the water column (it's everpresent) and mat up, but yes, nutrients are often a suspect. In addition to high nutrients, low nutrients is also a suspect and can lead to worse, dinos.

So the phosphate number is jumping out.

First let's get a confirmation that these numbers are accurate. @jose hernandez , what test kits are you using for NO3 and PO4? API may give false zeros.

from their we can see if NO3 and PO4 are the suspect, but if API is giving a false zero, then we might rule out a nutrient issue.

It could be detritus trapped in the sand bed, ergo @brandon429 post to rip clean.

i started to take out some of the sand plan on taking it all out eventually but takin my time with i also brushed of the rocks as well
