I am getting a major cyano bloom going on... What should I do to combat this?

Increase the flow in those areas, slow down on feeding, and look into a treatment with Microbe-Lift "special blend"

Kill your lights and suspend feeding until it clears.

the continue with less lighting and feeding so it stays away.

I think excess nitrates and phosphates are a larger contributor to cyano than light. Cutting back lights will help in the short term, but it could come back once you resume your normal schedule. You'll need to find the cause... excessive feeding could be it, so it would be wise to cut back a little. A series of large water changes might help export some of the excess nutrients that have built up.

This seems to happen to me once a year around this time for some reason. I increase water changes, add GFO and after a couple weeks it seems to go away for another year. This is also about the same time I replace my bulbs so that may have a little to do with it also.

Your spectrum might be a little off from old bulbs, so I agree, change them out. Maybe freshen up you CUC as well but otherwise it looks like you have things covered.

ive my friend had a out break then he started running warner marines bio pellets and it cleared it right up and has never came back
