Quick question. What is the perfect ratio between phospate and nitrates to prevent a cyano outbreak? My nitrates are at 20 and phospate is currently at .6
Slight cyano on a rock in a low flow area.. could it be the flow or imbalance of the two nutrients?

If your phosphate is at .6 thats very high (unless you meant 0.06?) but your nitrate doesn’t look that bad

I would try increasing the flow to affected areas first for a possible quick fix

If your phosphate is really .6 look into phosphate removal methods, I use rowaphos in a reactor and a good target is less than 0.03

Uh, there's no such magic ratio. :)

In fact, IMO, there's really no use for ratios in reefing. Absolute values are much more useful in any context I can think of.
