I finally found out that I have both cyano and dino. I run a UV sterilizer turned down the light intensity. My phosphate is pretty low so I started dosing phosphate. Nitrates are back up to 8ppm. I did a dose of chemiclean . That helped a lot . The phytoplankton helped too I've always dosed live phyto. I didn't want to use chemiclean but I made the choice to use it this time. My corals didn't look good. It seems like the cyano takes away beneficial things that the corals need. Suddenly now that the cyano is gone my phosphate is stable and I don't have to dose it anymore. So far anyway.
