Cyanobacteria problem.. help

Definitely get a skimmer. Red slime can feed on organics if you see lots of them that's probably what's going on. Try to syphon them out during water change and replace your active carbon more frequently
I'm looking at my lfs for a nano, they have a nice one for like 100 bucks

Guys I bought a deslimer powder and used it. I'll post pics tomorrow to show results. It's a pretty nice one that works well, saw it on brstv

I'm just calling them as I've seen them.
Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.
I know sometimes it says distilled drinking water which would have minerals added back in. On a 20 gallon tank I would start by doing frequent water changes and sucking out as much as I can. He should also use and keep changing chemi pure elite as it has gfo. I know a lot of people say more flow but it can grow even on power heads. If that does not work then Boyds Chemi-clean using an air stone. Then major water changes. I have bare bottom 250 gallon and still got it. Vibrant seemed to make it worse. Used hydrogen peroxide and it did not help and finally went with ChemiClean at 1.5 times dose. I still get a touch here and there waiting on an ATS to be delivered, I stopped bio-pellets and GFO as I could not get any readings on nitrates or phosphates. I have no algae in my tank and can go over a week without cleaning the glass but still get some cyano.

I tried red slime remover earlier, I'll post pictures to update what the effect is. I don't have chemi in there anymore but I use carbon still which is replaced every other week or so

Yeah I have one nano powerhead and two return flows blowing the tank I was thinking about picking up another koralia to circulate more I'm just worried that it will be too much for the tank I don't want to stress the corals out or blow them so much they don't open
You need more flow. You have something maybe extra organic feeding the red slime and until they are used up it will keep coming back. You can try manual extraction by scrapping or using a turkey Baster blasted on slime and using a mesh net to catch red slime.
You have some nice looking corals it may be time to be looking for an upgrade to a larger tank with a sump.

do a water change siphon off what you can then do lights out 3 days start your lighting off with a short photo, period to let corals adjust to lighting

Not a big fan of large black gravel media. I suggest switching to small oolite
I used oolite on my 40, probably the finest sand I've used.
