I no this is an old topic , but I need some help, first some history will try and keep it short.
2 years ago purchased a used 90 gallon with all inhabitants and rock , moved it and set it up , had algae outbreak and some of the rock already had cyano on them , Andre PSX help me with all Algae issues , started VSV glass box method. All algae disappeared except cyano. As things move along in January up graded to a 200 gallon tank broke down 90 all rock in tubes for three days with heat and power heads no lights. Got 200 going added aquascape with some of the old rock and some new dry and cured rock. I now have cyano again no other algae.
Forgot to mention I still add Biodigest weekly but have cut the VSV back to just dosing once a week.
