Leave that cyano alone. It is a very new tank and it is normal and natural. The tanks that are tweeked with chemicals are the ones with all the problems. You can't "cure" something that is normal and natural.
My tank is much older than most members here and I have way more cyano than that.

Thanks very much. That was the issue for me as to whether it actually was Cyno. The pictures I researched didn't seem to look like what I had. I'm getting ready to do my weekly 25% water change today or tomorrow anyway - chemicals? Not my first, second or third choice. Thanks again for your input
BTW, I just saw you had a book - is ti still out there for purchase?

Just downloaded your book. The foreward got me! I too am a product of Long Island and can remember those hours of looking through the nooks and crannies of the shoreline for all kinds of interesting critters. Thanks again for your response
