So I am almost finished with my tank cycle. I have set up a Red Sea reefer 250. I have converted my auto top off to a refugium which at the time is only holding some pond matrix. Figured it would be a place for more bacteria.
I have noticed I have a very slight amount of phosphates .04 I think. After the cycle is done would just putting some pods in the tank while treating the phosphates give the Marco rock time to leech out the phosphates before adding a lot of food ?

I guess I am asking what's the best next step. I can be patient now and hopes that the future will be easier LOL

Thanks for any help.

John

After reading your post to make sure I did not miss anything, I think you are on track and by patient there is nothing I could advise you to do next. Myself as soon as the cycle is finished I would drop in the cleaning crew to start the living cycle and have the ammonia spike.

I really commend you for taking it slow and easy:)
