Be certain you're reading the salifert test correctly. My memory is iffy, but on Salifert Nitrate, for example, you read the test as you have pictured... looking down through the vial from above and contrasting the colors.

I believe that on the ammonia test, you are instructed to hold the vial vertically, in front of your eyes with the color chart held behind it and to interpret the colors by looking through the vial from the side.

no mate I always did readings ok with salifert! it was the high readings on the API kits that threw me off a little

this thread is rare in that testing appeared to line up

where threads get fun is when both testers dont line up to say its cycled, and its still cycled lol (nobody agrees Im always alone there)

all tanks cycle by day 30 if you are using normal amnts of rock and sand, testers wont always agree. google cycling charts sure do, by the millions ~ not one single google cycling chart exists for a +50 day cycle, for example. not any
