Welcome to R2R!!!

I would just wait and allow your tank to go thru the normal tank uglies. I would add some food to the tank to promote algae growth and raise your Nitrate and Phosphate levels. I would also test you Nitrate and Phosphate levels and make sure they are not at 0.0.

Welcome and howdy fellow UK reefer

that's kinda up to you fella. I'd go for clowns to start but that's mostly as I've got a proper hard on for the daft little buggers :D

seriously though think about what you always dreamt of having in the tank ie why you got it in the first place and then stock accordingly. The lovely folks here will support you all the way with wise words, advice, calming words & a shoulder to cry on if neccessary!

Happy reefing!

Can I ask why we need to raise Nitrate and Phosphate levels? Thanks!

If you look at my build thread, roughly 40 pages onward, the answer will be revealed. I say this to show you that, even though this is not my first tank, I still had to go thru it. I had to fight Dino's because I allowed my N03 and P04 to stay at 0.0 long enough for the Dino's to take hold. Promoting and allowing green algae to grow in your tank will help combat this. They need N03 and P04 to grow though. I would at least keep your N03 and P04 to something above 0.0. After I had to combat, and defeat Dino's, I now keep my N03 at 10+ and my P04 at .06+.
