Cycle nearly finished.. But low ph throughout

It looks like their marine kits use a reagent for pH 7.4-9, so the reagents are definitely not the same from one to the other.

I'm kinda lost and happy for Advice...Why not use Seachem 8.4?

Forcing pH to a specific number with an additive instead of correcting the underlying problem is the worst way to handle a low pH issue. A tank will never be stable that way.

Wingz..I only used it for my initial setup.. My LFS and the web said it was ok. I haven't used it since.. Hoping it wasn't that bad... Been up almost 2 months with PH 8.4... doing partials and now topping off with RO.. Wish RO was told to me first.. Lol

Great advice from everyone so far. Always try a second source for testing. I've never used the kit you mentioned. pH is something that I generally don't really worry too much about. Yes, it's important but usually isn't the cause of problems in a tank. Usually a sign of something else such as: poor aeration or too much CO2.

Please buy at least a Seachem Badge.. The API ammonia tests are crap.. Just from experience on this site..
