Hello ust did a full wc and set temp to 80 and salinity to 1.022 as ORA told me today they run 22 as well I have some Dr Tim's to add at the same as the fish I'm getting tomorrow morning via overnight shipping. The reason for this is nitrites was still full med purple and am concerned about the colony of oxidizing nitrifiers might have been overtaken from the bad bacterial bloom last week and the uv sterilizer I had running I just tested nitrites again and nitrites still present see photos now I am at a dead end and running out of time.

If you just did a full water change the nitrites came from your water supply?

Nitrites are not toxic to marine fishes. If your ammonia is cycled the fish will be fine.

Just what KrisReef said-get ready for your ORA fish!

I will test water supply now

No nitrites in water supply clear vial

Checking ammonia now...

As others mentioned, nitrites are irrelevant in salt tanks. As long as ammonia is 0 and you have increasing nitrates number you are fine.

Nitrates are fine up to 20, even 25. Once fish added and bioload is created, you may actually see it drop a little

Ok ammonia is 0 mg/l

It’s nitrites.

Hard to understand what’s going on from your post?

Why are you doing a full water change?

Could be you are doing too much and maybe rushing things, going from the info available.

I think as long as 0 ammonia, everything will stable out with the fish. I wouldn't add coral or anything except fish right now though. update us a couple of days after adding fish! what fish are you adding?

Disregard nitrites in saltwater unless sky high above 100
