I will be away the next to weeks more then home. Is it okay to add my pukani and sand to tank and fill with saltwater and just let it run? Was going to also take the cup off my skimmer and let run just to break in for a week. Not looking to add any animals , just simply get up and running until I can add som bacteria and ammonia. I was thinking it should be fine but want to get your opinions since I am new. Thanks!

Agreed.

Actually you do not even need to add any organics to cycle a tank, it will take longer but a tank is going to cycle regardless of if you use any products or organics.

Yup... you could chuck in a frozen prawn to speed up the process a little... just leave it to rot away, it'll provide an ammonia source with minimal effort, you don't need to add bacteria, they'll already be there.
